Grade 3 is where children start working more independently: multiplication and fractions, longer pieces of writing, and a growing understanding of their deen and the Arabic language.

Subjects

  • Mathematics: multiplication, division and fractions
  • English: comprehension, grammar and longer writing
  • Islamic Studies: beliefs, the fiqh of worship and the seerah
  • Quran: tajweed rules and memorisation
  • Arabic: grammar basics and simple conversation

Our approach

We use the American curriculum as our base, but our lessons are developed from it and inspired by Islamic values rather than taken from a set book. The focus is on skills, with a structured programme that supports home-schooled children.

How classes work

Every class is taught live on Zoom by a passionate teacher, in a small group of up to 12 children. Even in a group, teachers assess each child and pitch the lesson to their level. Concepts are explained in class; afterwards children get a mix of traditional homework and creative assignments. Homework matters, so we ask parents to help with it. Our admins are always available for feedback if you feel your child's classes need adjusting.
